Women’s Camilla Cowl Neck Top & Dress with Maternity Options too!

5 Out of 4 Patterns is such a great pattern company.

I love that their patterns have so many options, as well as a very wide range of sizes to choose from.

Recently, I got another wonderful gift of being able to test for their new pattern!

The Camilla Cowl Top & Dress is a perfect addition to my new favorite thing;

The Capsule Wardrobe.

My capsule wardrobe is in the works, as I am recently pregnant! I want to keep the maternity items I own to a relatively small number of versatile tops, skirts, dresses, and bottoms.

During testing I was able to sew up THREE tops and ONE dress for myself! These are such a surprisingly quick sew.

Here are some photos of my two favorite sews from the test.

For this maternity top, I used luscious French Terry from So Sew English Fabrics. They currently have it in some other colorways and they are all like wearing a cloud. I did side ruching and since I am in early pregnancy I have lots of room in this top for my belly to grow! I did the long sleeve option and opted for a bottom hem. There are options for sleeve and bottom banding as well.

For this dress I did the Swing version, there is also an A-line and tunic length. I made a little waist tie to bring in the waist for pregnancy as I had extra room from the maternity belly I included in this along with ruching. This is ITY fabric from Hobby Lobby in the mainland. Thanks to my friend for sending this one to me, you know who you are ;). This dress will even work after pregnancy as it is so comfy and with the tie it isn’t obviously maternity.

I cannot say enough how much I love this pattern, the self binding neckline and options for sleeveless etc. make this a must have!

I am totally about getting as many options as possible out of a pattern and this certainly delivers!
